What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
- Enquiry and referral messages: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the topic you choose, and your message.
- Careers interest: the same details, plus anything you tell us about yourself and the role you are interested in.
- Emails and phone calls: your contact details and what you tell us.
Like most websites, our web hosting may record technical information such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, to keep the site secure and working.

- To keep the website secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
We do not use your information for marketing, and we never sell it.
Information about children
Please do not include a child’s name or other identifying or sensitive details in a website message. If you are making a referral, send the young person’s information through your authority’s secure email or systems, and we will arrange the next steps with you.
If a message does include this kind of information, we will move it to our secure case records or delete it, and only keep it where the law allows.
If you are a young person and want to talk to us, you can call or email us, or ask an adult you trust to help you.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where we need to:
- with the companies that host our website and provide our email
- with our professional advisers, such as accountants or solicitors, when needed
- with local authorities, the police, Ofsted or other bodies where the law requires it, for example to protect a child from harm
If any of these providers store information outside the UK, we will make sure suitable safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and referral messages: only for as long as we need them to respond to you and deal with any follow-up.
- Careers interest: if we do not offer you a role, we delete your details once that recruitment has ended, unless you agree to us keeping them for future roles.
We then delete the information securely, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Keeping it safe
We limit access to the people who need it to do their job, and we use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
